The Novyi Bilous community was occupied on the first day of the invasion of the Russian Federation on February 24, 2022. During the occupation, 404 private houses of the community were damaged, social objects were damaged and looted, in particular, general secondary education and preschool education institutions in the villages of Staryi Bilous, Novyi Bilous.

There are a total of 1,390 students and 212 teachers in 16 educational institutions in the community. There is Staryi Bilous municipal preschool education institution “Zernyatko” among them, where more than 50 children study.

Due to the absence of a shelter, the work of the institution is temporarily stopped, and the children are deprived of access to education.
